The Essex Welfare Service

This new service is a single, convenient point of contact for anyone in the Essex area who is in urgent need of help during the Coronavirus outbreak. It is also the place to report anyone who you are concerned about.

In Lightof the Governments guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice.

Prayer will continue to be said by Clergy on behalf of the community.

The Building is closed until further notice.  The Church remains open.

At St Nicholas in Great Wakering we have regular services every Sunday as well as special services throughout the year. If you live in Wakering or just visiting, you will be made very welcome.

Please join us for tea, coffee and a chat in the church hall after most Sunday services.

Our prayer calendar is a tool to help you pray on a daily basis for the needs and concerns of our Parishes. We regularly pray for:- those on the electoral role, prayer topics or subjects related to life in our parish and for those people who live in each road in our Parish.
