Remembrance Sunday 1918 – 2018 – LEST WE FORGET

Folk in Great Wakering have been busy knitting poppies.  come along and see the poppy wave at St Nicholas, a reminder of those who lost their lives a hundred years ago.  Inside the church will be more knitted poppies, displayed by the Mothers’ Union, and a poppy from the Tower of London.

Remembrance service will start at the war memorial on 11th at 10.45.  there will be a short act of remembrance, laying of wreathes, last post and 2 minutes silence; before we go into church for the remembrance day service. Lest we forget – St Nicholas Remembers.

Poppies sold will help the Royal British Legion who support War veterans.
